Part of the Department of General Surgery Emergency Hospital in Valcea County.

It is situated on the 1st floor and includes 8 beds, one treatment room, bandages, collecting, a joint office for doctors, nurses and auxiliary nurses and dependencies.

The official program of the doctors is from 8.00 to 15.00.
Nurses and auxiliary nurses have an ongoing program and is made by rotation (shifts) of 8 hours.

The section provides accommodation of hospitalized patients, preoperative preparation and pre- and postoperative care.

• By the programmed system for chronic cases or postponed emergencies;
• By the emergency system for emergencies that come through the receiving Emergency Unit, the Hospital Clinic or transfers between hospitals.

• ID or ID card;

• Pension coupon (last) or certificate of employee in specifying the number of days of sick leave accumulated in the last year;
• Admission ticket.

In emergency surgery cases are exempt from payment patients who have medical insurance. Health insurances from countries of the European Union are also valid. To avoid confusions and surprises related to this issue, please ask before admission any matter, and settle it with the admissions office or the Division of the Hospital.

Other issues related to hospitalization:

• The current crisis in Romania, fully reflected in the health system, makes me warn patients of the many shortcomings of medical materials and medicines necessary to the treatment and surgical act;
• These sanitary materials and medicines are purchased by the patient and can be settled later, under the current law;
• On admission, cardiology and chronic medication is given to departure from home to hospital and the medication at home are all brought to the hospital; after admission you will receive detailed instructions on the medication administered in the hospital and the administration, treatment schedule will be the concern of the treating physician and the assistant (nurse) in service;
• At the admission are useful to the physician the previous consultation letter from preceding hospitalization and other prior medical instruments, medical letters from other doctors, previous test reports and all recoverable imaging explorations (radiographs, ultrasound, arteriography, CT or MRI exam), electrocardiography, scintigraphy, etc. All these developments clearly show the evolution prior to the hospitalization, the previous treatment outcomes and shortens the time so that the current diagnosis and the treatment to become more accurate, faster and more efficient. We will thus be gaining precious time and may be a step in the disease for which came to be treated.
