What are the diseases?
Diseases are a form of payment in this world of sin: "They come on top of people - and sometimes even the head - from sin, as payment, as atonement and the boundary of sins" (Father Arsenios Boca).
What is the sin?
"Sin is a conspiracy of the human mind with the devil against God's law" (Father Arsenios Boca).
Sins against God's law are 464 (Guidance for confession, Protos. Nicodim Mandita, Ed. Agapis, 2001):
- Sins against the Holy Spirit (the numbers 1-23);
- Sins crying to heaven (24-30);
- Sins against the Ten Commandments (31-305);
- The seven deadly sins (306-442);
- Foreign sins (443-445);
- Sins against soul mercy (446-450);
- Sins against corporal mercy (451-454);
- Faith (455-460);
- Hope (461);
- Love (462-464).
"With this working definition, we understand at once that only Jesus was without sin, that he himself refused any diabolical idea of mind, His life and deeds (Father Arsenios Boca).
What is the consequence of sin?
Clearly tells us Father Arsenios Boca: "is the payment of sins, much like when you perch on the fence", "payment mathematically follows sins"; "I wonder where weakness starts (paralysis)? From the account haughty mind; It finds it's better not to be guided by God but by her head in sin. And so gives the man reason to sin, as if he perched on the fence”.
Preventing disease
There is there a way to prevent diseases, indescribable in treaties of medicine today. In times when medicine was not divided from theology, preventing disease was treated primarily from this point of view, theologically. The exposure to reach the understanding of any man is also made by Father Arsenios Boca:
"If people would fit their behaviors after the commandments of God, and not from sins’ bait, they would prevent, would bypass all troubles, but so, they break their head on them. And then they walk crying ... Let yourself be lead brother, by a heavenly advice, or else ... the head that not listens ... when it breaks there is no one to fix it."
It is clear that preventing disease belongs, before needing a doctor and his knowledge, to the bearer of the Word of God here on earth, the real priest, belonging to a church with apostolic tradition.
But today people usually pass directly over the support of God, the priest confessor, listening to the spiritual, confession, communion and participation in the Holy Mass and do not go in time to the doctor to make disease prevention.
And just as people search the priest when they have trouble (trouble in life), as just they go to the doctor when they can no longer support pain, when the disease has advanced and then they expect miracles from the doctor.
And postponing seeing the doctor sometimes justified by the fear that a doctor would require to take medication, to stop an activity detrimental to health, to respect the sleep schedule, to respect the alimentation schedule, to move, follow a diet, etc., sometimes judge the doctor or the health system for the infirmities, qualities, their moral and spiritual poverty. And so, as the priests, the man comes very rarely for prophylaxis, before any disease manifests in the physical body.
At the doctor, like at the priest, some people go when they have an illness or distress, and some of them touched by the troubles (difficulties of life or illness), rather than be examined (by the priest or doctor), angry at God or the priest and the physician and the health care. And the more they delay the direct help of God through the priest and confessor of the Church or the doctor, they reach greater trouble and deeper diseases.
You see, by disease, above, I refer to the medical sense of the term and by difficulties I refer to the troubles of life (loss of a loved one, accidents, spiritual issues, family issues, etc.). In fact, the term of illness, contains both, and the theological term is the broad understanding of the disease, which includes the physical of the doctor.
Divine intervention in curing diseases
When it comes to human life and salvation, which is "the greatest miracle" (Father Arsenios Boca), assuming the sin is the first condition for obtaining grace. Moreover, also father Arsenios Boca says (at Drăgănescu Church, the place of exile for the Father): "you who come here for your troubles, the first thing to do is to say "so I need ", so perhaps it will endure God and hear your prayers and you will have eternal life”. Only so can begin the healing and moral work of man. Even the most ruthless judges, before the recognition of guilt, reduce the sentence and so are the laws made in court, where the law (man) judges the man.
The second step is to find a confessor, to guide a man who wants healing, the home after that any human yearns about, God's house. Without spiritual confessor empowered and armed with the Holy Spirit, we cannot do anything alone. The third step and the most difficult is obedience to the priest. Listening to the priest beats prayers and lent accompanied by patience, bringing salvation and eternal life. The goal is salvation, the mechanism of action is killing the microbe (sin), the actor (patient) is the man, the director is the priest and the producer is God himself.
When it comes to disease, the producer is the same, God that we fear, we seek and love, the director is a doctor, the actor (patient) is a man who comes to the doctor sometimes in an advanced stage of the disease in which may arise sanctions, sometimes dramatic (myocardial infarction, stroke, gangrene, cancer, etc.) and which does not always have the grace the Holy Spirit descended upon him.
Wonderful healing, complete, of soul and body, a single person has permanently and not as a gift, but as part of the Holy Trinity, together with all the powers of the Heavenly Father, so we have constant models and sources of salvation, hypostasis embodied in man of God Himself, the Lord our God Jesus. In its place He left the gift of the Holy Spirit descended upon the priests, through apostolic tradition and they all bear this gift. This gift that He gave to the priests is a wonderful gift and covers the most important part of the human soul, the forgiveness of sins being the condition of salvation. The gift of healing the body was not given to all priests, appearing in some of the saints.
Wearing gift of the Holy Spirit by priests makes them endowed with the gift of forgiveness of sins, which leads to salvation. Great wonder (Father Arsenios Boca), because this gift is greater than the wonderful healing (the resurrection of Lazarus, the return of vision to the blind, the cure of epilepsy, etc.), as this gift is for the soul, while the wonderful healing is for the body only. Father Arsenios Boca also says "a soul forgiving, its cleaning is sometimes a real resurrection from the dead, and it's more valuable than a foot healing”. Then: "without the gift of miracles among people we can save ourselves, but without the gift of priests, the forgiveness of sins, no one is saved."
The circumstances in which the medical act takes place: the doctor is a man, like the patient, from which the patient expects a wonderful healing. I.e. a short treatment (if it is possible for the patient to leave the office for consultation with the problem solved), with costs as low as possible (drugs from doctor's kit if it were possible), without payment in this world (diet, pills taken at fixed hours, walking for 5 km every day, without renouncing alcohol, tobacco, sleepless nights etc. = canon), that gangrene, paralysis, stroke, cancer, etc. to pass and the patient to return to the "normal life" – with no accounts from anyone.
The doctor is required, without realization that it has the wonderful healing gift. The patient does not know that the disease comes on to him because of personal mistakes of his predecessors (up to the fourth race, the seventh after the other) to the Law given by God and the doctor is often just as ignorant as the patient in this regard. Current medicine still managed outstanding performances in solving other diseases which were once implacable (no one dies so often of appendicitis, pneumonia, perforated ulcer, etc.).
The current performances were allowed to the medicine as a reward for tireless love of people and made many doctors who have made from the service of man a meaning and a fulfillment in their lives. The importance is given to healing the leg and not healing the soul and therefore one goes to the doctor without requiring the aid of God through the priest.
Conclusions: our doctor today, despite his advanced science, is performing work for the benefit of man, relieving the suffering of the neighbor, activity that usually aims at the physical or mental suffering (disease) of the patient. Diseases, as a "form of payment for the sins" cannot be cured completely by doctors, who do not have the gift of forgiveness of sins. Through the collaboration between the priest and physician and the patient’s participation, great healing, full for body and soul, can be obtained today for who deserves it.
And I will exemplify this with cases of my personal activity, in the box not yet on the website, "the reasons why I love homeopathy and acupuncture" and on other occasions, all other buttons I have on paper in front of me with new chapters which I will post on the site. In all cases of great healing (in my opinion as a doctor), I felt overwhelmed and small against the miracle that was happening with the patient, grateful to all teachers that God brought in my way, armed and refreshed with new energies to continue this work.
